The first time I was under the sea was in south France in 1996! Having done a couple of try dives there, came back home to find I had to wait two years until it was possible for me to do the Open Water Diver certification as i was to young. Once the wait was over and I got to dive, knew it was a sport I was going to enjoy for along time.

I mainly dive on the south coast of England, but have been lucky enough to dive in France, Majorca, Lanzarote, Tunisia, Malta, Gozo, Egypt and South Africa.

I just enjoy being underwater, and will get into the water whenever I can get close enough to it. You will find me bimbling along a reef in Egypt, drifting across Swanage bay. But find me most at home on a good wreck, from warm water to the cold water of the Orkney Islands wreck diving is my favourite, getting to see history frozen in time.

I passed my Divemaster Certification in 2010 and have worked solely for Flippas-n-Fins. I passed my Open Water Scuba Instructor in 2014 after partaking in the first Instructor Development Course that happened at Flippas-n-Fins.

I have then completed the IDC Staff Instructor course on the IDC that was run in 2015. Have also completed my Emergency First Response Instructor Trainer and TecRec Trimix Diver Instructor during 2016.

As well as this I have Speciality Instructor ratings in Project A.W.A.R.E, Dive Against Debris, Pier Diver, Boat Diver, Deep Diver, Drift Diver, Dry Suit Diver, Emergency Oxygen Provider, Enriched Air Diver, Equipment Specialist, A.W.A.R.E Coral Reef Conservation, Night Diver, Peak Performance Buoyancy, RNLI Sea Survival Diver, Search & Recovery, Self-Reliant Diver, SMB Diver, Underwater Navigator, Wreck Diver, Decompression Chamber Awareness and Twinset Diver. I’m also a TecRec Deep Instructor, TecRec Trimix Diver Instructor and TecRec Trimix Blender Instructor.

As I am also a full time member of staff at Flippas-n-Fins since June 2014, after a ten year career as a Chef, I have become a Service Technician for Scubapro, Apeks, Aqualung, Cressi-Sub, Suunto and Poseidon, including for there Rebreathers.

I’m also running a long term Project using Project A.W.A.R.E Adopt a Dive Site. Which I will all ways be looking for people to help in or out of the water and a great way to do your bit to help the local marine habit. In 2015 we removed 245kg of fishing net alone from the site with more still there to be tackled in the coming year and any other rubbish that has settled there.
